Musicologist, expert in books and manuscripts, Massimo Fino was a consultant of Christie's International Auction House for manuscripts and musical autographs from 1986 to 2006. He is the founder of LIM, Libreria Musicale Italiana, a well-known publishing house specialized in musicology, of which he is still editorial consultant. He has published numerous articles in newspapers and magazines; for the Publisher Laterza he published, with Carlo Majer, the volume Musica/Città, concerning Luciano Berio's Maggio Musicale. Since 1999 he has been artistic director of the Festival Opera Barga.

Of heterogeneous formation, Paolo Mecucci has a degree in Philosophy and a diploma in Composition and Conducting. He was the last pupil of the American composer Robert W. Mann. His interests and skills range from musicology to bibliophilia and collecting ancient paintings. As an expert in collectors' books, manuscripts and maps he collaborated from 2004 to 2008 with Philobiblon, an eminent international bookstore with offices in Rome, Milan and New York. He subsequently founded his own international bibliographic studio.
