The Numismatics department: buying and selling antique coins at auction or by private treaty (private rooms) - free appraisals - expert opinions and technical-scientific analysis of objects of numismatic interest.


Directed by Andrea Pancotti, the department deals with coins and medals, also collections, following the history of numismatics in its development, from its origins to the present day. Particular attention is given to: Roman coins, Greek coins, Byzantine coins, medieval coins, modern coins, important numismatic collections.

The main task of Andrea Pancotti's team is to study, catalogue, evaluate and place on the Italian and foreign markets coins and medals for sale, both for the enchanting trade and in the form of private negotiations, the latter for pieces of particularly high economic and historical artistic value.

In parallel, the department offers a technical-scientific consulting service and analysis and evaluation of objects of numismatic interest using the most advanced investigation techniques and machinery.

At the department there is always a selection of coins and medals of various price ranges that can be purchased out of auction.

Archaeologist specialized in topography of ancient Italy, Andrea Pancotti is a member of the Italian Academy of Numismatic Studies and member of the editorial committee of the "Bulletin of the History and Art Union". He has to his credit numerous scientific publications in the historical-archaeological field.
