Street artists, writers, tattoo artists, street photographers: the department of Underground and Ultracontemporary art tells the creative expressions of youth countercultures and the most innovative art trends of the new millennium.
Under the direction of Giacomo Guidi, the department looks at the creative areas of youth countercultures from the last decades of the 20th century to the most recent trends, trying to document both phenomena now in the process of historicisation as well as the art of now and the climate of contamination between expressive languages - visual arts, design, fashion, music - which make it a peculiarly hybrid art.
Street art, graffiti art, graphic design, tattoo art, street photography, the relationship between art and new technologies are at the center of the investigation of his staff who, in close collaboration with the artists, awaits the promotion, evaluation and placement on the Italian and foreign markets of their works, both in the form of auction and direct sales.
Giacomo Guidi has a long and articulated experience in the field of the contemporary art market as founder of galleries and curator of exhibition projects that, since the first years of the new millennium, have given an original contribution to the updating of the Italian system of art promotion and exhibition. Since 2016 he has started an innovative research on the world of youth countercultures and art of the new millennium, told in hybrid spaces where visual arts, fashion, design, music and high craftsmanship are brought together in an incessant confrontation that today also takes place in institutional museum spaces.
