Combining the visual arts with industrial design, Marotta
collaborates with numerous companies in the field of design,
creates many sculptures by referring to the processes
industrial processes for mass production.
Since the 1960s, his vocation for the use of unprecedented materials has turned to methacrylate.

of art referring to the natural landscape.
The same subjects, enlarged and associated, are transformed into
environment, creating artificial scenarios in methacrylate.
'Through the specifics of new technologies,' explains
Marotta - I have tried to retake inventory of the world. My
nature, my animals, my artificial plants are
the mythopoeic paraphernalia of the world. I made a simulacrum
of memory, the simulacrum of something that in a little while
time will no longer be there'.
Marotta invents a new 'garden of eden', an
which has lost its naturalistic identity but is no less authentic.
