4 French gilded silver trays - Paris circa 1880, mark of GEORGES BOIN AND EMILE TABURET

of mixtilinear form, the edges decorated with laurel leaves. Hallmarked with post 1838 French hallmarks in use in Paris for 950/1000 silver, silversmiths Georges Boin and Emile Taburet.

The Boin-Taburet factory was founded in 1873 by silversmith George Boin and his father-in-law, jewellery maker Emile Taburet. These silversmiths are credited with the revival of Louis XV style silver in the 1880s and won a gold medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle for their monumental historicist work.
