Pair of Italian silver candlesticks - Rome late 18th early 19th century

circular base with oval decoration and truncated cone-shaped stem. Hallmarked with the chamber hallmarks in use in Rome between the late 18th and early 19th century (scarcely legible) and with the hallmark depicting a "Moor's head in profile" in use in 1815 for a silver fineness of 9 ounces and 14 denari (798/1000), which was placed on used silverware after payment had been verified.

Base diameter 12 cm, height 22 cm. Total weight 496 gr.
