French silver inkwell - Paris mid-19th century
of circular shape with radial ribbing and a rim with vegetal decoration; the two-handled ink holder, decorated similarly to the dish, presents a lid with a florale final. Hallmarked with post 1838 French hallmarks in use in Paris for 950/1000 silver, silversmith mark "J W and two star".
