The obverse of the medal features five men standing in line stepping onto a podium inscribed “1936”. On the left side “XI. OLYMPIADE” and on the right side “BERLIN”. The reverse of the medal features a bell with an eagle holding the Olympic rings at the centre, signed “OTTO PLACZEK” on the ledge. Rim marked with the foundry maker Guss Noack Berlin.
