This lot is part of Amitabh Kumarβs long-term project ππΆπ€π© ππΆπ€π© was originally conceived in 2014 as a mural, which he painted at the point where Pali Village meets Bandra in Mumbai. He noticed these very different ideas of βthe urbanβ: one was fast developing into the city of the future and the other was a quaint hamlet in the middle of all the bustle. The liminal space between felt like a warzone where these two very different ideas collided. This inspired a battle scene where a βBadmanβ, a chainsaw-wielding figure, is about to attack a mythical double-headed crocodile.
