Filippo Scorcucchi is an artist and musician. Born and raised in Rome, he soon discovered his creativity and began producing abstract works in which material textures blend with fields of colour. The basis of his artistic research is gestuality and randomness. The deliberate absence of figurative representation paves the way for experimentation, favouring colours, lines and reliefs. The artist does not want to represent the outside world, but intends to arouse emotions and visual sensations through matter, which is at the heart of his artistic journey.
Scorcucchi is also fascinated by the sound possibilities offered by electronic music, and experiments and produces both as a solo artist and with artists from the Roman music scene; he is currently part of the LF58 project. In 2014, he provided the sound for Yuri Ancarani's film BORA.
