Nadia Teresa Mazzocchitti, aka urbanKofa, was born in Bern (Switzerland). It was her painter grandfather who passed on to her an interest in the visual arts, in particular oil painting, from an early age. After living in several countries, she arrived in Berlin in 2010. The strong impact with contemporary and urban art in this city led her to paint with a spray can for the first time and influenced by the post graffiti movement, she immersed herself in the world of Street Art and absorbed the influence of artists from all over the world. While Berlin influences her in one direction, Sardinia, where she moved in 2015, influences her profoundly with traditions. Her women, portrayed until then more in a playful form, become almost intangible, giving her murals and canvases a language of intimate intonation. Her works are inspired by current world themes, the multiculturalism of the countries in which she has lived, worked and travelled, and the peculiarities of the languages she speaks.
