First edition unfortunately missing eight leaves depicting engravings of sultans.
This beautiful work presents portraits of sultans, from Osman I to Murad III . The portraits were engraved by Theodore de Bry based on drawings by Hoefnagel who is said to have taken them from medals brought from Constantinople.
