two polychrome wax compositions depicting religious scenes, within oval frames made of carved, lacquered and gilded wood. The depictions, characterised by the elaborate scenic construction and the abundance of natural and anatomical details, are found in the production of a waxworker working in southern Italy, most probably in Naples.
Item condition grading: **** good, wear, cracks, missing, restoration, some loss of material.
