Arrigo Finzi

800/1000 silver, hallmarked "800 - 54 fascist party simbol MI" and signed "Sant'Elia", silversmith Arrigo Finzi.
The meeting between silversmith Arrigo Finzi (1890-1973) and Futurist architect Antonio Sant'Elia (1888-1916) gave rise in the 1910s to a number of objects with innovative lines, such as the centrepiece on display in the Museum of Decorative Arts.
The series designed by Sant'Elia was proposed by Finzi for the first time in the immediate post-war period and was to be revived from 1933 onwards, meeting with great success from the public and critics alike. Thanks also to these creations, the Finzi factory was to win the Grand Prix at the Universal Exhibition in Brussels in 1935.
