French horn horse whip with silver handle, Late 19th century.

Length 66 cm. Weight 72.9 g.

honey-brown rhinoceros horn (Rhinocerotidae spp.), with solid silver knob depicting a hand holding a lapislazuli sphere, embellished with an emerald on the wrist and a round, rose-cut diamond ring. The cane worked in the shape of a tree trunk. Hallmarked with the marks for minute work in use in France after 1838, GI.

Item condition grading: **** good, there is a fracture in the apical part.
