Italian silver teapot and sugar bowl , Naples, 1832-1872

pyriform body resting on claw legs, with "cocciolette" and ribs decoration, the lids with pinecone shaped finals and wooden hadle. Hallmarked by the guild of goldsmiths of Naples for a silver fineness of 833/1000, 1832-1872, silversmith Gennaro Pane (Ref. Elio e Corrado Catello, argenti napoletani page 145).
Teapot: height 17.5 cm, width with handle 18.5 cm, weight 486 g. Sugar bowl and cover, height 13.5 cm, width with handles 11 cm, weight 286 g. Total weight 772 g.
Item condition grading: **** good, minor signs of use commensurate with use over time.
