Italian silver belt, Late 19th century.

consisting of several cast silver plates depicting genre scenes. 800/1000 silver, hallmarked '800 - Kremos - Rome.
Demetrius Kremos and his partner Sotirios Voulgaris were the founders of the Bulgari company; the Bulgari family of jewellers came from a small Aromanian village in Epirus, Kalarites, where the progenitor, Sotirios, produced silver objects. Sotirios decided to leave Epirus to seek his fortune in Italy, arriving in Naples in 1881; in 1894 he moved to Rome where, together with his partner at the time, Demetrio Kremos, he was able to exhibit his creations in his first boutique in Via Sistina and then, in 1895, in Via Condotti 28.
