Coral composition depicting Madonna of the Assumption with putti, Trapani 18th century
Height x width x depth: 23.5 x 19 x 2 cm. Weight 260 g.
depicting Our Lady of the Assumption with Mediterranean coral angels (corallium rubrum) placed on a gilded copper oval background decorated with latticework and embellished with stylised coral flowers. The composition is framed in a chased and embossed laurel wreath topped by a crown. Apparently not hallmarked.
Item condition grading: **** good, minor signs of use commensurate with use over time.
