a) of rectangular shape, entirely niello-worked with geometric decorations, the lid with a boar hunting scene; hallmarked with the French export mark of Mercury's head in use from 1840 to 1878 for silver at a minimum fineness of 800/1000. Height x width x depth: 4.6 x 8.8 x 2.4 cm, weight 109 g; b) of rectangular shape, entirely niello-worked with vegetal decorations, the lid with a vase of flowers within an oval reserve surrounded by vegetal scrolls and shells; hallmarked with the French mark of Minerva's head in use after 1838 for silver of 800/1000 fineness.
