Round bronze plaque signed "E.BARONI" at the bottom at six o'clock, depicting the profile of Faustina (Annia Galeria Faustina), Roman empress, wife of Marcus Aurelius and mother of Commodus. It was created by the famous sculptor Baroni specifically for the shipowner Pier Giulio Breschi, owner of a Rome-Civitavecchia maritime and river transport fleet, as a symbol placed on board the "Faustina" ship of the aforementioned fleet active in Genoa at the beginning of the 20th century. Around the profile of the empress we find the text in relief "FAUSTINAE NOMEN FAUSTUM TIBI SIT NAVIS OMEN" - In the lot we find an advertising card for the Breschi fleet. The plaque measures approximately 53 cm in diameter, for an approximate weight of 10 kg. In excellent condition
