Emperor Agricane of Tartary Agricane, a king of Mongolia and emperor of Tartary: after numerous battles he clashes with Orlando. The duel, which lasts two days, ends with the death of the Tartar king who, shortly before dying, converts to the Christian religion. His body was placed near the water fountain where he had been baptized.
