Beautiful and huge mid-20th century heavy cotton flag with the five Olympic rings, on a white background.
As per the creator of the Olympic symbol, De Coubertin who said Β«The Olympic Flag has a white background, with five intertwined rings in the centre: blue, yellow, black, green and red. This design is symbolic; represents the five inhabited continents of the world, united by Olympism; furthermore the five colors are those that appear up to now in all national flags.Β»
In excellent condition, with large dimensions, 250x400 cm, probably used for display in the institutional buildings of an International Olympic Committee (IOC) or on the occasion of an Olympics in the very early post-war period.
