Karl Rudolf Ditmar was a distinguished manufacturer of oil lamps from the mid-nineteenth century until 1895. In the 1950s Rudolf became famous in world markets for inventing an adjustable oil supply mechanism" Lampe Viennese Moderator". Upon his death, the firm was not taken over until 1910 and resumed producing lamps
