Gilded silver moulding on 4 feet, with malachite and alabaster top. Complete with 32 silver and gilt silver pieces depicting king, queen, rooks, bishops, horses, and pawns resting respectively on alabaster base and on onyx base. With original green velvet double box.
Chessboard and pieces hallmarked '800 - 13 FI', Agostini Giulio fu Carlo silversmith. Total weight with cases 7850 kg.
