Pair of candlesticks, Brescia, 16th-17th century

Bronze with patina
21 x 16 x 16 cm

The decoration of the bases of the two candlestics recalls Macrรฌ's models in the Frick Collection in New York. The central band of the candlesticks is decorated with pairs of birds, or perhaps griffins, facing each other and divided by a vase, alternated with horned masks with the coats of arms of the Venetian Secco noble family.
