The sculptor Girbafranti represents the typical Milanese artist at the turn of the last century.
During his long activity, interrupted by his participation in the war, he created sculptures of all types with particular attention to their inclusion in commemorative architectural spaces.
The bronze presented here is a rare example of the production of vaguely sensual sculptures in perfect harmony with the early 20th century Art Nouveau style.
