Rare subject depicting the Goddess of Fortune, characterized by a veil which, moved by the wind, takes her in unpredictable directions. She is often depicted with a boat sail or balanced on a sphere, always indicating her precariousness and caprice.
Similar examples in the Civic Museums of Padua attributed to the school of Gerolamo Campagna or Tiziano Aspetti (identified as Venus but probably allegories of Fortune).
