Madonna and Child, Northern Europe, 15th-16th century
Bronze with patina
sculpture: 27 x 10 x 6 cm
This rare piece of chandelier represents Madonna with Child, which was cast separately and placed in the central axis of the stem (in fact the internal part is hollow for this purpose).
The extremely stylized taste brings it closer to the Gothic style, but similar examples are known in the 15th and 16th centuries in the Northern European area.
