Togatus, Neapolitan foundry ? of the 18th-19th century

The fine sculpture depicts a "Togatus" wrapped in a beautifully draped tunic and holding a small plate in his right hand.

The sculpture of considerable size has a thick black patina and is mounted on a fine antique half-column base, composed of a cylinder of fine purple marble resting on a light gray circular base.
