From the collection of Sicilian Pupi, specifically the Opera dei Pupi of Catania tradition, collected by the Hon. Lombardo Nino, whose desire was to share this cultural tradition with young people, thinking of opening a Pupi museum in Paterno' (Catania), an initiative that unfortunately he was unable to complete.

The Pupi presented here at auction were made by the craftsman Salvatore Pulvirenti of Aci Platani, have a body structure of cypress wood (more resistant to woodworms) and are covered with fine fabrics. Each has a metal base, is about 120 cm tall, plus the crest, and weighs about 20/25 kilograms. The armor is made of brass, embossed by hand.
