Sardinia - 3 Lire in extraordinary tricolour franking
06.10.1863 - Extraordinary franking of 8.8 Lire composed of a 40 cent. carmine red n.16D + a strip of three of the 80 cent. deep orange n.17D + two values of the 3 Lire copper n.18, preserved on a fragment of a letter. Only the 80 cent. strip has a slight defect in the margins, the others are all well margined.
