From the series “Vasi, candelabri,cippi, sarcofagi, tripodi, lucerne ed ornamenti antichi disegnati ed incisi dal Cav. Gio. Batt. Piranesi pubblicati l’anno MDCCLXXIIX” printed and published in Rome in 1778.
A fine example in a contemporary Roman edition, printed on laid paper with watermark (double circle lily surmounted by the letter B). Very good condition, except for two restored tears on the margins, slight defects on the edges and the usual trace of a central horizontal fold.
