Art Déco sterling silver and enamels table clock, Germany, 1920s - 1930s

Height x width x depth: 7.5 x 7.5 x 1.9 cm. Weight: 219.7 g.
Square case in sterling silver with guilloché enamel in shades of orange, decorated around the perimeter with a frame set with marcasite. Dial with hour ring in guilloché enamel in shades of yellow, Arabic numerals set with marcasite and gold hour markers.
Hallmarked on the back "Sterling - Germany - D.R.G.M.". On the back of the case "Schild & Co. - Swiss".
Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchs Muster, or DRGM, was a German patent mark for registered designs, used from 1891. Schild & Co., a Swiss company founded in 1900 in Geneva, utilized this mark to indicate its patented designs and innovations. The DRGM mark assured the protection of their unique design elements in Germany.

The case of the clock is in a good state of preservation with the normal wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time; minor imperfections in the enamels.
