Rectangular silver case with guilloché enamels in shades of blue, silvered dial with Arabic numerals and black hour markers, featuring the inscription "Marcus & Co". The watchi is key wound and set. Hallmarked with the "Boar's head" mark, a small guarantee for silver objects used in France from 1838, and with the silversmith's mark in a lozenge shape. On the mechanism, "GH. Hour - Made in France - 12 twelve jewels". Marcus & Co., founded in 1892 in New York City, was renowned for its fine jewelry and high-quality timepieces. The company was known for its elegant designs and craftsmanship, catering to a prestigious clientele.
Item condition grading: **** good. The case of the clock is in a good state of preservation with the normal wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time. The watch movement is currently working but may requires a technical service.
