Rectangular case in opalescent glass with a couple of lovebirds, signed "'R. LALIQUE" and "France N° 760". Circular dial with a golden bezel and Arabic numerals, black hands, on a polychrome painted river landscape featuring the inscriptions "8 Days - Swiss made".
René Lalique (1860-1945) was a pioneering French jeweler and glassmaker known for his innovative Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs. His work, which includes intricate glass sculptures, jewelry, and decorative objects, revolutionized glass art with its use of natural motifs and new techniques. Lalique's creations remain highly prized for their artistic and technical excellence.
