Work of the ancient Greek historian Appian of Alexandria (c. 95 AD - c. 165), who lived during the reigns of Trajan, Hadrian and Antoninus Pius, in Egypt and Rome. Appian was a lawyer and obtained the office of procurator in the province of Alexandria and Egypt. Translation into Italian from the Greek by Alessandro Braccesi (1445-1503).
