Interesting Dutch historical 17th century work on the region of Zeeland in the Netherlands, by the controversial and unfortunate statesman Jacob van den Eynde (1515-1569) who was unjustly accused of heresy and died after being deprived of his property by confiscation and his liberty by imprisonment. Text printed by Simon Moulert with a fine calc. frontispiece decorated with marine allegories, a portrait on the verso of the leaf *4 and a large framed coat of arms of the province of Zeeland; Latin text with numerous woodcut decorations. Good copy with slightly browned text.
