Format in-12°, miniature book, mm. 110x59, pp. 486, (5). Contemporary binding in full parchment. Restored frontispiece with ancient paper reapplied to the back, small losses on leaves A2, and the last 4 (cc. Ss 5-8). Hinges partially detached. Minimal defects, signs of aging and sporadic foxing.
Old edition printed in 1624 in Venice by Niccolò Misserini, famous epic-mythological poem by Ovid with the Italian translation by Giovanni Andrea dell'Anguillara (1517-1572), introduction of the chapters by the scholar Giuseppe Turchi (1515-1599). With 15 woodcut figures in the text (per chapter).
