Work in 2 parts bound in a single volume. Format in-4ยฐ, mm. 200x160, pp. (14), 256, (18), (6), 397, (43). 2 copperplate frontispieces. Contemporary full leather binding with gold titles and decorations on the spine. Edges of the leaves in red. Rear cover partially detached. Small losses and slight peeling on the covers and spine. First part with small woodworm work on the lower margin starting from the copperplate frontispiece up to page 250 (c. II), with loss of some letters. Trimming of the leaves touching a minimal part of the second copperplate frontispiece. Sporadic foxing and light marginal stains.

Old edition printed in Paris in 1694 (First ed. 1671), in 2 parts bound in a single volume. Work of the French numismatist Jean Foy Vaillant (1632-1706). Numerous Roman coins engraved in chalcography in the text depicting Julius Caesar and the various Roman emperors. Frontispieces printed in red and black. Woodcut initials and endpieces.
