Printer's mark on the title page and at the end, historiated woodcut initials, four-ribbed binding in sow's hide originally on wooden boards, traces of metal clasps on the front board, manuscript title on the spine partially erased, back board in parchment on cardboard and replaced, defects on the spine, only part 1 (of 2).

Sixteenth-century edition of one of the most famous works of the humanist Flavio Biondo who here illustrates the history of pagan Rome as a possible model for the military and governmental activities of its contemporary age. Contains: "De Roma triumphante libri decem", "Romae instauratae libri III", "De origine et gestis Venetorum", "Italia illustrata".
