First edition printed in Rome in 1744 for Girolamo Mainardi, by Francesco de' Ficoroni (1664-1747), a well-known collector, antiquarian and archaeologist. Numerous chalcographic figures in the text depicting medals, coins and portraits. Includes 38 chalcographic plates outside the text depicting the monuments of ancient Rome and 1 fold-out plate with hieroglyphics. Second part introduced with a loop.
