Light water stain on the lower edge affecting about half of the text. Small woodworm damage on the lower margin from f. 18 to f. 100, with loss of text. Woodcut initials. Printed in Venice in 1555 (the first 1553), work by Luigi Lippomano (1496-1559) against Protestant doctrine, deals among other things with the doctrine of the Church: primacy and infallibility of the pope (I), grace, predestination and justification (II), sacraments (III). Original work by Maffeo Albertini (16th century) and Giovanni Del Bene (16th century) revised and expanded by the author. Woodcut typographical device on the title page.
