Complete. Contemporary half-leather binding with corners, titles and decorations in gold on the spine, boards covered in old decorated paper. Sprayed edges on the leaves. Old eighteenth-century edition, printed in Paris between 1798-1799 for the publisher François Buisson, complete in 3 volumes and the Atlas. Expedition to Egypt by the French naturalist and traveler Charles NC Sonnini de Manoncourt (1751-1812), reports on geography and natural sciences, information and comments on subjects such as medicine, nutrition, agriculture, sexual behavior, religious sects, architecture and natural history. Atlas of 40 Plates engraved in intaglio by JBP Tardieu (1746-1816), containing Portraits, Views, Geographical Maps, Antiquities, Plants, Animals, drawn on the spot under the eyes of the Author.
