German solid silver inkwell, first half of the 19th century

In gilded silver, resting on five spherical feet, with a spread-winged eagle placed on the central one. Entirely embossed and chiseled, it is divided into two decorative levels: the lower part features a half-length depiction of Queen Elizabeth of Poland, richly dressed and adorned with jewelry, her hair styled and decorated with floral ornaments, flanked by mythological figures, pomegranates, animals, and two landscapes depicting royal palaces. The upper part consists of an architectural structure housing two inkwells with domed hinged lids topped by two musical putti. Completing the composition is a putto with spread wings, surrounded by floral elements.
Hallmarked with the silver marks at the fineness of 13 loth (812,5/1000) used in Germany in the 19th century.
