Italian solid silver Eucharistic chalice, early 20th century

Height x width x depth: 24 x 11 x 11 cm. Weight: 545 g approx.
octagonal base decorated with plant motifs and the four symbols of the evangelists, the bull, symbol of the evangelist Luke, the angel, symbol of Matthew, the eagle of St. John and, finally, the lion of St. Mark. Architectural shaft with geometric knot decorated with engraved shells; smooth cup decorated with plant motifs at the bottom.
