Long solid silver pin, known in Quechua as a "tupu," with an oval, spoon-shaped head adorned with a floral motif and a bird in flight. It was used by Quechua populations in the south-central Andes to fasten the tunic at the shoulders. The spoon-headed design was most prevalent in the 19th century.
