A French bronze mantel clock depicting Cupid and Psych, Late 18th - early 19th century

case with a yellow Siena marble and gilded bronze base, surmounted by the figure Psyche in the act of crowning Cupid in patinated bronze, iconography taken from the model by Claude Michallon (1751-1799); circular dial with Roman numerals signed "Ledure Bronzier Hémon", movement with wire suspension, pendulum regulator and bell striking the hours and half-hours. Laude Hémone and Pierre Victore Ledure, both active in Paris between the end of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century.
