Rosewood and violet wood veneer, with gilt bronze fittings.
Literature:
Of German origin, like many of his fellow ébénistes, François Rübestück was active during the reigns of both Louis XV and Louis XVI. He crafted a diverse array of furniture pieces, often adorned with marquetry or parquetry, as well as vernis Martin and Oriental lacquer finishes.
