Beautiful oval frame, probably a portrait holder, in Louis XVI style. The outer ring is decorated with openwork grille or raceme parts.
On the upper cusp two figures lying on a cornice bear the symbols of the arts, painting and sculpture. A festoon unites the two allegories.
