The Trinity, Venetian School 16th century

Bronze plaque, dark brown patina; 90.7 x 75.9 mm; 65.5 g.
The Eternal Father is seated facing forward and holds a crucifix on which is the Dove of the Holy Spirit. Smooth background with a border and a large frame of volutes with cherub heads.
Beautiful old prototype reissue with missing parts.

Note. Molinier 1886 is not aware of the plaquette, which is studied by Jestaz 1997 and Wixom 1975, who agree in considering it a work of the Venetian school of the early 16th century. There are various re-editions of this plaquette.
